I love Etsy, and I love how much variety there is in custom vinyl wall art. I purchased this cute decal set from Janey Mac Press. It’s the Tall Classic Tree w/ Birds and Flowers – BOT110.
I had to wait a bit because the instructions indicated not to apply the vinyl for two weeks after painting. I admit, I got antsy and only waited one and a half weeks. It still applied just fine, even on these plaster walls with pretty heavy texture.
The directions also said to have two people to apply any pieces greater than 24″ x 24″. Do you think I waited? Nope. There should have been a hidden camera because I draped the long trunk piece over my head as I lined up the bottom, and then as I stood up I pressed the higher portions onto the wall. It went on really well that way, if I do say so myself!
I like this shot because it shows most of the elements of the nursery all at once, and the light coming in from the window looks so soft and hazy.

The decal came with three birds and I put one of them on the top edge of the wire rack over the changing table. I thought it would give baby something to look at and pull the tree and bird theme over to that wall.
