GAP-tastic Cowl

Don't laugh!  I'm by no stretch of the imagination a model, so try to just admire the pretty cowl and don't look at my painful posing.

Remember the beautiful yarn I bought myself as part of my Christmas gift from the hubster?  I finished it all up yesterday.  Well.... almost - I still need to weave in the ends, but I just couldn't wait to wear it!

The pattern is the GAP-tastic cowl written by Jen Geigly and available for free download on Ravelry.

Here I am trying to recreate a pose from the pattern.  And trying for that nonchalant, faraway gaze look.  I don't think I pulled it off.

And this is me being silly.  But it is warm and if I forgot my hat, I'm not above looking like a goof for the sake of warmth.  This is Michigan after all - people routinely go to restaurants and bars wearing snowmobile suits in winter!
