Did you notice my new blog header? I’ve only had the old one for oh… about two and a half years. I had big plans to “craft” a new one over the summer and get all mixed media on it with embroidery, rolled and crocheted flowers. Then yesterday I was playing around in Picmonkey and whipped one out in about ten minutes.
This is always been something I’ve stuggled with – big ol’ plans that just sit and sit… and sit. I can think of at least four projects at this very moment that are stashed away in various stages of incomplete. I really need to either finish them for once and for all, or scrap them and wash my hands of it. Or maybe there’s one more option as demonstrated by my simpler but complete blog header – revamp the plan.
Maybe I can take a new approach to the big quilts I started while still in college (yes, over 15 years ago!!). And those knit socks I started for Dave a couple of years ago – I say rip them out and move on, they weren’t gauged right to begin with and neither finishing them nor sitting in a bag is helping anything.
Do you have any unfinished projects that are hanging over your head, mocking you?
