Sew-vivor: I Made It To Round Two!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! to everyone who voted for The Matinée Dress.

It was my lucky day that the host and the rest of the participants decided to narrow to 7 instead of 5 or I would be writing a different post today.  It makes me so happy because I’m really excited about the project I’ve dreamed up for the button challenge.  I would have made it regardless, but Sew-vivor will make sure I get it done in a timely fashion!

I’m going to start sharing little snippets from Arden here and there, and it seems fitting to add it to this post since she was my model and you’re looking at her picture.  She appears all serene and introspective there, but she’s got a crazy imaginative mind.

So without further delay, I give you Arden’s hypothesis on squirrels and light bulbs:

Arden: “How do they get up there to change the light bulbs?”
Me: “Who?”
Arden: “The baby squirrels.”
Me: “Ummmm….”
Arden: “I think only the brother and sister squirrels climb the chair to change the light bulbs and the baby squirrel stays with the Daddy squirrel and the Mommy squirrel takes the big brother and sister squirrel to climb up very high to change the light bulbs.”
Me: “So squirrels change our light bulbs for us?”
Arden: “Yeah.”
Me: “Okay…?”

This discussion took place in the car on our way home from daycare.  The only light bulbs she could see were the street lights so I have no clue what prompted this.  Just another Tuesday ’round here.

I think Arden and Ainsley are about the same age. There should be a ‘muses of children’s sewing bloggers’ convention where they could all get together to play and compare posing tips!
