PVC Playhouse: Made by a Reader

I genuinely love creating projects to benefit my family and then sharing them with all of you, sometimes with lengthy tutorials so you can make them for your family if you choose.  But do I really know if anyone is making stuff using the tutorials I write?  I mean, I can see on Pinterest when people are pinning my stuff, but it’s not often that I find out that someone has made a project I’ve shared.

That is, unless they send me a lovely e-mail with a picture showing their mostly complete playhouse and their adorable daughter enjoying their hard work to create it!!  (Because while the sewing isn’t all that difficult; hauling like 5 lbs. of fabric through your sewing machine is no light task!)

Reader version of PVC Playhouse by A Jennuine Life

Emily sent me this photo the other day and you can see that she pretty much followed my tutorial to the letter!  She had some substitutions because not all of the PVC connector pieces were available at her local building supply store to make it exactly as I had listed.  Due to that and a cutting error by the supplier of the duck cloth, the side walls are a little short.

Emily and I wrote back and forth and I think she’s going to add floral fabric or applique at the bottom to look like flower beds.  Nothing like a problem that turns into a feature, right?

Are there any projects you’ve made using A Jennuine Life tutorial that I don’t know about?  I’d love to see them, and feature them here with your permission!

It’s so exciting to know someone’s following your tutorial. And I think the floral border is a great idea 🙂

I love it when I see someone else’s project! I’ve got another reader playhouse to share soon!
