Nursery Prep: Cuddly Changing Pad Cover – Part Deux

I posted about my first changing pad cover here.  I thought that one out of turquoise with white polka dot Minky was pretty cute, but I think I like this even better!

I got both of the Minky fabrics from Bobbi at A Vision to Remember’s Etsy store.  This lovely black and white damask is listed here.

This, however, will be the last one of these changing pad covers I’ll be executing.  The combination of working with a knit fabric and trying to make a dimensional project was just a royal pain in the tushy.  Not to mention how covered in fluff I ended up after running my edges through the serger.

But, now that it’s done I can feel a sense of accomplishment and … relief!  I was planning on two more of these, but I couldn’t make the yardage work to get two more anyways.  So, I’ll just have to use pink ones from Arden’s room if both of these are dirty at the same time.

Do you ever have those projects that you grit your teeth through to get done?  This was definitely one of those!
