Pink Party Planning on Pinterest: Decorations

I’ve got a good chunk of the decorations either completed or purchased – you saw a glimpse of the “happy birthday” banner the other day:

I finished that up later that day using bias tape I made myself.  I seem to be quite the banner lady lately which I think is really ironic since the nautical banner I made for One Month To Win It was my first go-round at banner making.  Sometimes I’m late to the party, but I seem to make up for lost time.

Completely off topic but goes along with coming in late with trends – I watched the first episode of Downton Abbey last night, and I totally agree with everyone who raves about it!  My friends have said it’s addicting and that I’ll be sad when it’s over, so I’m going to try to spread it out a bit.

Okay, so back to PINK! party planning.  Today I made the rounds to Hobby Lobby to pick up some things for it, and tomorrow will be devoted to getting the house ready and trying to make any food that can be made ahead.

There were a ton of ideas in this pink party post, but the big takeway I’m planning to “leverage” is hanging pink balloons from the ceiling – sans helium.  I also snagged some similar pink lanterns.
I LOVE this quote from Audrey Hepburn.  I’m going to make my own version and frame it for the party and then hang it in her room afterwards.
I mostly pinned this one for the tissue paper flowers.  Dave gets brownie points for snagging a couple from the Daddy Daughter Dance a couple of weeks ago.
This is a great idea to ask the same 20 questions each year beginning at age three.  I asked Arden her questions before bed tonight and her answers were pretty interesting.  I imagine some of them would be different tomorrow, but still a worthwile exercise.  My favorite – “what do you want to be when you grow up?” —  Arden: “Big”.
