My Favorite Proposal

This is my favorite marriage proposal ever!  Aside from my own, of course.  Well, that one could have used some improvement – fewer mosquitoes, no kids riding their bikes past us as he’s popping the question…
So back to this proposal:
I received an e-mail from Michael that he wanted a nautical flag banner reading “marry me” to use as part of his marriage proposal to his girlfriend who was a sailing buff.

I happily agreed and rushed the order to get them sent to Maine where he and his girlfriend were heading for a vacation.

Part of the fun of the planned proposal was seeing if she would be able to interpret the flags – I know it would take me some time and I work with these flags on a daily basis!  I asked Michael to please send me photos.  I’m so happy that he obliged and agreed to let me share this story with you!

I love this setup on the boat where he made his proposal – what a wonderful memory for the two of them!

And here’s the happy couple!  Congratulations and best wishes to Michael and Brydon.

My nautical flag banners have been used as decor in living rooms, nurseries & big kids rooms, family reunions, and wedding receptions.  Now I can happily add popping the question to the list of places they’ve been used!
