Matinee Pattern Tour :: Day 1

Hooray!  It’s time to begin the Matinee Pattern Tour!  I have a jam-packed tour to bring you with loads of talented sewists and lots of variations of the pattern.

Bast & Gather

First up is Lauren of Baste & Gather.  You might also be familiar with Lauren from Pattern Workshop, or Selvage Designs.  It was Lauren’s courses in Pattern Workshop that helped me create the Matinee pattern, so she has my undying thanks!  Check out the adorable version she made for her daughter Harper here.

Next up is Teri from Sew Straight & Gather with this great floral Matinee dress.  Teri is a classmate in Pattern Workshop and is currently working on a pattern of her own.  The community aspect of Pattern Workshop is a benefit I hadn’t anticipated when I enrolled, but it has been just as valuable as the course itself.  Not the least of which is getting to know the other students better.  Read more about Terri’s dress on her site.

Daisy Chain Collage

I first “met” Sally from Daisy Chain Creations through the sewalongs on Project Run & Play.  Then I started hearing about Sew Cool for the Tween Scene, a site she and another Mom of a tween run which is about curating patterns for pre-teens.  How great is that?  I’m sure I’ll be happy for their work in fewer years than I’d like to think!  Well Sally outdid herself and made two very different versions of the Matinee pattern!  Head on over and check them out!

I’m also so excited to share the amazing giveaway I’ve been able to put together to go along with the pattern tour.  Nine great prizes were donated for the tour be sure to enter and check out all these fabulous sponsors and tour participants in the Rafflecopter giveaway below!
