Sew This Look: Women’s Cardigan & Pencil Skirt

Are you ready for a Women’s look?  Trust me I’ve got plenty of pins for women, but I thought this one was a good place to begin…

This was a target look pinned by April.  She has a whole Pinterest board with all kinds of looks she’d like to create for herself.  I knew I wasn’t the only one who did this!  This whole look is from Nordstrom but these are all classic pieces you could find in many stores.  A similar 3/4 length cardigan is $46 and pencil skirt is $59.

Using patterns and tutorials, you can sew both the pencil skirt and either sew or knit the cardigan!  See, I’m sneaky like that; throwing some fun for all the knitters out there.

If knitting is your thing, Knitbot has a featherweight cardigan pattern for sale on Ravelry.

If knitting’s not your thing, you can sew your cardi with a pattern by Bryannasclothes on Etsy.

For the pencil skirt, Justine from Sew Country Chick has a four part series showing how to draft and sew your own pencil skirt.  If you’re not into drafting your own clothing from measurements, rumor has it that Delia Creates is working on a pattern for her version, so be on the lookout for that.

See you next week with another Sew This Look!  If you have fashions for your kids or yourselves you’d like me to try to dissect, send them my way:  jennuinedesign@gmail.com.

I do love this outfit! Totally impractical for a day with kiddos but I need to replicate it for a night out or church!
