Covert Robin: What I Received

Psst!  Don’t forget that today’s the last day to vote for round two of Sew-vivor.  My project is #4 the Seat Back Entertainment Organizer.  Voting is open until midnight PST tonight.

Connie from A Piecework Life received my name in The Covert Robin swap.  She lives in Portland (love that city!) and is a quilter.

Connie made this lovely and superbly stitched mini quilt in the Swoon pattern.  Check out those points!  I found another use for my slack hanger gallery – a quilt display area.  Isn’t it perfect?

I haven’t made a quilt since I noticed the trend of a pieced backing.  I’m in love with this look – the backside isn’t an afterthought rather, it’s a way to showcase the lovely fabrics!

Connie also included a cute pincushion which I’m dedicating to my sharps.  With little fingers around, I have to be sure to keep track of my pins and needles so this definitely came in handy.

Thanks so much Connie – it’s lovely and will be treasured!  I thoroughly enjoyed my first Covert Robin exchange and will be signing up again for sure.

Hi Jenn! I’m so glad you like the mini quilt and pin cushion! I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what to make for you and in making the gifts. My first thought was to make matching aprons for you and your girls, but then I saw that you had recently made them aprons!

Enjoy the mini quilt and the cushion and keep on sewing!
