Three! New Patterns for Project Smooth Sorbet

You know by now that I love participating in the Project Run & Play designer collaborations, and every time they become my new favorites!  This Project Smooth Sorbet collection is no exception and I was so excited that I submitted three different designs!  The Baie Blazer, Bacio Basic Tee and Limone Lounge Set all work together to create a complete outfit, or with the other amazing patterns in the collection.  Today I’m talking only about my own patterns, and later on I’ll share all the sewing I did for the collection.

First up is the Baie Blazer.  Baie is French for “berry” which of course could be a sorbet flavor, but I think it also describes the vibe of this comfortable and relaxed knit blazer.  It’s simple but chic, perfect for a stroll along the Riviera or your local boardwalk!  Sized for children 12 months to 14 years, it has two basic silhouettes: straight or a flared peplum.  The straight option has an option for a vented back.  The sleeves can be fully lined or a facing to allow a cool contrast cuff to be turned back.  Optional patch pockets are perfect for storing treasures.

The Bacio Basic Tee works perfectly underneath the Baie Blazer or paired with the Limone Lounge Set shorts, pants or skirt.  Bacio means “kiss” in Italian, and is also a wonderful flavor of gelato.  For children sized newborn to 14 years, this tee is casual simplicity with a relaxed fit.  Straight or gently curved hem options and the neckline can be a standard neckband or a ruggedly chic layered raw edge neckline.  This same feature can be used on the sleeve hem, or just hem as usual.

Last up is the Limone Lounge Set which should be the only bottoms you need this summer!  Limone is Italian for “lemon” and I love the crisp and sunny imagery that invokes.  Sized for children newborn to 14 years, Limone has shorts, Bermuda length shorts, crops or pant lengths.  For skirts there is a knee length skirt and a maxi length skirt.  The maxi skirt has optional long side vents to make walking easier.  All views have optional deep patch pockets great for storing treasures, and the waistband can be standard or paper bag style.  Instructions are included to add channels to the waistband for a drawstring option.

I’ll be sharing more from the fun photo shoot the girls and I did, but here are three different looks featuring the Baie Blazer, Bacio Basic Tee and Limone Lounge Set patterns:

Hadley is wearing the peplum option of the Baie Blazer, with the raw hem Bacio Basic Tee and the knee length Limone Lounge Set skirt with a paperbag waist.

Arden has on the peplum option of the Baie Blazer paired a Bacio Basic Tee with sorbet flavors heat transfer vinyl graphic that I designed.  This graphic and many others are available in the Project Run & Play shop as part of the collection.  Her skirt is the maxi length Limone with the side slits.

And Hadley again with a straight option of the Baie Blazer (and the optional back vent that you can’t see).  This one I made the facings/lapels and collar the coordinate to match the sleeve lining.  She’s wearing the same graphic Bacio Basic Tee and paired with the shorts length Limone.

I made so many more items from the collection including one more pair of Limone Lounge Pants that I’ll share after the lookbook is released – can’t wait!!
